BRIDAL SPOTLIGHT

Anna & Ajay-21.jpg

Anna

The Bride

Anna was planning her beautiful fusion wedding where I would be creating not one, but 2 glamorous makeup looks for her. It was important for her to feel her most beautiful self while also fitting the style of both parts of the day.

Her Vision

She dreamt of flawless skin, eyes that 'pop' and makeup that lasted through all the dancing and celebrations! For her traditional english ceremony, she planned for a minimal glam that subtly enhanced her features, whereas for her Indian reception she wanted a total transformation of a full asian-inspired look.

Her Concerns

Anna told me she felt most comfortable when she wore a full coverage foundation and had black liner in her waterline and was concerned about not having these on her wedding day for fear it may not be 'bridal' enough. She was also worried about the timings with having a brand new look half way throughout the day and being ready for her early ceremony.

The Process

I reassured her that I would always include products and techniques wherever I can to ensure my brides feel like themselves. In the lead up to Anna's big day, I spoke with her to figure out all of the scheduling so that I could best plan her and her family's makeup schedules while preventing her from feeling rushed.

The Outcome

For her church ceremony Anna glowed in her english-rose styled  makeup, adorned with her flower crown. She had her flawless skin that she dreamt of without the look being too bold. She had her black liner staple for both looks but with my artistry, I made sure that it always worked within each look and didn't take over. Her morning ran smoothly and she had time to relax while we reset for look no.2!

Final Touch

Her words:

"It is literally impossible to praise Georgie highly enough, she is unbelievable at what she does!!"

"I have never felt so beautiful in my whole life, she is as skilful as you can get when it comes to booking your MUA for your wedding!"

The Bride

Lucy was planning her wedding to her lovely partner and father to her two young daughters for June 2025. She had a busy morning with her girls, her bridal party and more family members all getting ready with her at her stunning venue.

Her Vision

Lucy usually didn't have a lot of time to do much makeup with 2 young daughters keeping her super busy, however, she wasn't shy of a bit of makeup by me. It was important that she fulfilled all her bridal dreams of feeling like a princess on her big day.

Her Concerns

Lucy was concerned with her eye shape and from her trial, felt like she needed her eye makeup to enhance her lid space and open the eye up more.

The Process

On the big day, I shaped her eyeshadow slightly above her natural socket to create the illusion of a more open lid space, and placed her lashes so that they winged out and didn't cover the work I'd done prior. I also used a nude liner in her waterline to further add to the effect we were looking to create.

Final Touch

Her words:

"She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and somehow managed to make me look even better than I had ever imagined!

She made me feel confident and beautiful which is more than you could ever ask for, on your big day."

Chloe

The Bride

Chloe wasn't an every day full-glam kinda gal, however she knew she wanted to ensure her makeup not only lasted throughout her hot summer wedding day, but that she would feel comfortable in it.

Her Vision

With Chloe usually saving makeup for special occasions, it was important that she still felt true to herself and that her husband-to-be would still see her as 'his' Chloe...just at her best! She wanted her skin to look fresh and for all of her makeup to feel balanced.

Her Concerns

Chloe wasn't a fan of false lashes so it was important that her eye makeup popped without the intensity of falsies. She also knew she wanted a pretty 'bridal' lip that lasted but that didn't feel too matte and obvious.

The Process

Rather than using false lashes, I defined the upper and lower lash line with a smudged kohl pencil to create some definition. I then used light layers of mascara to increase length and volume while avoiding a clumpy look. For Chloe's lips I used my favourite method of combining a lip liner, matte lipstick and finished with a gloss. This meant that we ensured a lip combo that lasted but felt comfortable during the nerves.

Final Touch

Her words:

"We had the best day ever and all felt amazing! Everyone said how much they loved having you there with us getting ready yesterday, you are amazing!!!!

PS thank you so much for taking the time after everyone had left to sort me out, I couldn’t have done it without you"
